The site outlines three categories of informative texts, their structures and features. It discusses writing time management, how to use tense, subject specific vocabulary and visual information. Annotated student samples are provided as well as writing organisers, templates, checklists and rubrics.
This C2C resource (developed by Queensland State Government to support the Australian Curriculum) is available on Scootle. (Scootle is a free resource for all Australian educators. This unit of work is incredibly comprehensive and includes a unit plan with curriculum priorities and learning dimensions, lesson plans and resources, assessment tasks, worksheets and links.
