The links provided on this page indicate a range of eBook and Audio Book services available to students. Some of these resources are free at all times, some require students' class teachers to have signed up and assigned them to their class and others are temporarily free due to the current COVID 19 situation. Please be sure to read any accompanying terms and conditions. If you have further questions please don't hesitate to contact the library staff and we can investigate it for you.

Hills Shire Library eResources

The Hills Shire Library offers an excellent selection of eResources for Kids. These resources are only available to residents of the Hills Shire by membership through the Hills Shire Library Service. Membership can be completed online here and will automatically provide access to eResources. Please note that due to increased demand reduced borrowing limits have been applied.  

World eBooks

WCC Library subscribes to World Book eBooks. Here you will find a large collection of mostly non-fiction titles organised by topic. These books are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They can be accessed through Connect - Quick Links - Library - Databases or click here

 

Starfall

Starfall is an online educational website focused on Prep - Year 3. Although full access is by paid subscription many of the features are free to use without signing up. It features phonics and learn to read activities as well as free access to beginning readers with 'read to me' options. Access Starfall here or by clicking on the image below.

Brightly Storytime - YouTube Channel

Many read alouds posted on YouTube breach copyright and should not be used in classrooms or recommended to students. Brightly Storytime has appropriate arrangement in place with publishers and creators and is therefore safe for classroom use.  If you need help learning how to share YouTube videos without the ads and comments please see the library staff.
